Our Best-Selling Titanium Material Types

Titanium Bar
Titanium bars are made of pure titanium or complex alloys of metals such as aluminum or vanadium, which have excellent properties. Through alloying, these rods have low density, light weight, non-magnetic, strong corrosion resistance, superior mechanical properties and easy welding.

Tiitanium Plate
Titanium plates are metal plates made of titanium or titanium alloy by hot rolling or cold rolling. They have excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, low density and good processing performance. Due to the good biocompatibility and corrosion resistance of titanium to various chemical media, titanium plates are widely used in chemical industry, aerospace, medical treatment, shipbuilding, electronics, electroplating, environmental protection and military industry.

Titanium Wire
Titanium wire delivers a high strength-to-weight ratio, superior corrosion resistance (including seawater and many chemicals), excellent fatigue and high-temperature performance, and biocompatibility. It also offers good formability and weldability, non-magnetic stability, and precise dimensional control.

Advantages of Titanium Material

High Melting Point

All metals have a melting point — And titanium is no exception. Titanium, however, has a higher melting point than many other metals, including iron, aluminum, tin and copper. It takes temperatures in excess of 3,304 degrees Fahrenheit to melt titanium.

High Strength and Low Density

Titanium has the highest strength-to-density ratio of all metals on the periodic table; its strength-to-density ratio is even higher than that of steel's. Titanium isn't necessarily stronger than steel. They are both offer relatively the same amount of strength. Titanium, however, is about half as dense as its steel counterpart.

Corrosion Resistance

Another key advantage of titanium in the manufacturing industry is corrosion resistance. Many metals and alloys rust when exposed to oxygen. Oxygen in the air or water causes them to oxidize. As oxidation occurs, a layer of rust will begin to form. Titanium, on the other hand, has a natural defense mechanism that protects it from rust.

Lightweight

Titanium weighs less than most other metals and alloys. When compared to steel, titanium weighs about half as much. This is another reason why aerospace manufacturing companies use it. Titanium is just as strong as steel, but it only weighs about half as much.

Recyclable

Titanium is recyclable, thus allowing manufacturing companies to minimize waste. It can be melted down and reused in future applications. Furthermore, since it doesn't suffer from corrosion, titanium doesn't deteriorate. Products made of titanium will maintain their structure so that they can be recycled many years down the road.

Application of Titanium Material

Aerospace

Titanium materials is extensively utilized in aircraft and spacecraft components, such as engines, airframes, and landing gear, because of its strength, light weight, and heat resistance.

Medical

Implants, prosthetics and dental devices utilize pure titanium because it is biocompatible and does not corrode in the human body.

Marine

Because of its corrosion resistance, and titanium density titanium is perfect for shipbuilding, and submarine fabrication.

Automotive

Titanium materials is utilized in high-performance vehicles to minimize weight while preserving strength and durability.

Chemical Processing

Titanium materials resistance to corrosive chemicals makes it a preferred material in equipment like heat exchangers, reactors, and tanks.

FAQ

Q: What are the main grades of titanium?

A: Common grades include commercially pure titanium (Gr1–Gr4) and alloy grades such as Gr5 (Ti-6Al-4V), Gr7, Gr9, and Gr12.

Q: Why is titanium widely used in industry?

A: Because it combines low density, high strength, and strong resistance to corrosion, especially in harsh environments like seawater and chemicals.

Q: Is titanium stronger than steel?

A: Titanium has a higher strength-to-weight ratio than steel, meaning it is lighter while still very strong.

Q: Is titanium resistant to corrosion?

A: Yes, titanium forms a natural oxide layer that protects it from seawater, acids, and most corrosive environments.
