Material Description

 

Ti-6Al-2Sn-4Zr-2Mo, commonly known as Ti-6242, is a near-alpha titanium alloy designed for high-temperature strength and excellent creep resistance up to around 550 °C (1020 °F). It offers superior tensile and fatigue strength compared with commercially pure titanium and is widely used in aerospace, gas turbine, and high-performance engineering applications.
